DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
This position is responsible for providing management oversight of subcontractor construction staff and to manage the delivery of PTS Project Delivery related projects. The position should be proficient with the execution and delivery of various contract types (e.g., fixed price, design-build, T&M, unit rate) and familiar with contract change order processes, including pricing and tracking.
 
The position also shall be knowledgeable in a variety of contraction technical standards, safety requirements, and Hanford Site procedures and processes. Also, must have demonstrated history of successful project delivery. Manage General Contractor, and provide direction to Field Engineering, Project Work Planning, Project Safety, and staff Support on work priorities.
 
Support development of field execution schedules, resource planning, schedule updates, and recovery plans. Support field planning activities including the Plan-of-the-Day/Plan-of-the-Week Meetings, Contractor Interface Meetings Pre-Construction Meetings, and integration with the Facility Operations.
 
Responsible for adhering to safety, schedule, cost, and performance measurements. Ensures optimal use of project assignments by employing craft workload leveling, contracting, and management strategies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current experience as a Hanford Buyers Technical Representative (BTR)
  • Currently holds a Hanford FWS qualification card
  • Current in all Hanford Projects and Construction management procedures and processes, engineering, safety, quality procedures, and construction turnover documents.
  • Demonstrated field experience leading/managing, and leading construction industry work scope.
  • 10 years’ project construction engineering and/or management experience with complex Construction Projects and 5 years DOE or Government Contracting.
  • Proficiency in the DOE Environment with ISMS requirements and implementation of Safety Standards and Work Planning Procedures.
